Call for Submissions: the8fest Small-Gauge Film Festival

the8fest Small-Gauge Film Festival is a little festival for small films. We are a unique Toronto-based festival that screens films solely on celluloid: 8mm, Super 8 and 9.5mm. We also welcome installation, loops, performance/film, music/film and ‘proto-cinema devices’ like zoetropes. Programming ranges from personal, handmade, experimental, animations, diaries, essays, collage, cut-ups, and more.

the8fest is pleased to announce that it is now soliciting submissions to this year’s festival

Submission deadline: October 1, 2019.

the8fest seeks your 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm or other small gauge film projects (such as loops and installations) for our 13th festival being held January 24th to 26th, 2020.
