14th Annual Call for Outdoor Sculpture

Oeno Gallery invites artists to submit proposals for the 14th exhibition year of its renowned 4-acre Sculpture Garden, located at Huff Estates Winery in Prince Edward County. Opened in 2011, the Sculpture Garden has become a celebrated destination, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors yearly and showcasing world-class outdoor sculpture in a unique natural setting.

The property offers diverse installation sites, including:

• The main sculpture garden (4+ acres)
• The winery grounds
• Exterior zones surrounding the gallery

All proposals will be reviewed and selected by the gallery’s curatorial team.

Sculptures must be original, durable, safe for public interaction, and able to withstand extreme year-round weather including wind, rain, snow, and salty air. All works must be available for sale. Artists are responsible for transportation, installation, and removal (if the work does not sell).

Project Requirements

• Sculptures must be original, durable, and suitable for an unsupervised public outdoor environment
• Sculptures must withstand harsh weather conditions year-round
• Sculptures must be for sale
• Artists are responsible for transport, installation, and removal of their work in the event that it does not sell
• Consider freight packing requirements for potential buyers
• Onsite forklift available by prior request
• Installation for accepted works will occur early May 2026 (TBD)
• Works must remain installed for a minimum of one year (longer if unsold)

Eligibility

This call is open to:

• Professional artists working in outdoor sculpture
• Canadian and international applicants
• Artists producing durable, weather-resistant work appropriate for long-term outdoor installation

There are no geographic or citizenship restrictions.

Compensation

All works must be available for sale. Oeno Gallery follows standard commercial gallery commission structures.

Selection Process

Selections will be made by Oeno Gallery’s curatorial team based on:

• Artistic merit
• Durability and suitability for outdoor public installation
• Cohesion with the artist’s broader practice
• Installation feasibility and site compatibility

Only selected artists will be contacted.

Submission Requirements

Proposals must include:

1. Contact Information: Name, Address, Phone Number, E-mail, Website
2. Artist Statement/Bio
3. CV
4. Artwork statement – Include Title, Year, Medium and Size for the proposed work(s) and describe how this work will relate to/expand on current themes in your work in a single Word document
5. Create one folder of High res Images of the sculpture(s) you are proposing (Minimum of 300 dpi, 1500 pixels wide), sketches and support images. Clearly title the .jpegs with the Title of the piece
6. Description of the project and plan for installation. Please consider all aspects of transporting the work to the garden site in Prince Edward County, Ontario and installing the piece in the garden. Onsite forklift available upon prior request
7. Estimated retail price of the work
8. Photo of artist
9. Other examples of existing work should be labelled as Other Examples and sent in a separate folder for review
