5th Annual International Women’s Day Art Exhibition

January 31 – March 27, 2026

Theme for 2026: In Her Own Time

The passage of time is an ever-present force in women’s lives, marking growth, transformation, and the stages of life. From the phases of the moon and the changing seasons to personal milestones and aging, time moves forward —shaping experience and identity.

Artists are invited to interpret the concept of time and reflect on its impact in their own lives through visual art and accompanying statements.

Updates to Guidelines:

• An entry fee of $30 + HST is to be paid when the completed application form is submitted.
• Each artist should submit a statement/story/poem of 150 words or less to accompany their work that offers insight to the viewer and enhances their interpretation of the show’s theme.
• Artwork must be picked up from the KHCC within 14 days of the closing date of the exhibition.
• Registration form and fee of $30 must be received by December 7, 2025, to guarantee a spot.
• Artwork must be clean and ready for gallery display (including finished edges and D-rings for hanging).
• Artwork must remain in the show for the entire duration of the exhibition, even if sold.
• The King Heritage & Cultural Centre (KHCC) and ASK (Arts Society King) may share photos of your artwork for promotional purposes in print or social media.
• Applications will be reviewed by our in-house panel made up of KHCC staff and an Exhibitions Committee.
• The KHCC reserves the right to decline a submission deemed unsuitable for the Show.

Delivery of Artwork:

King Heritage & Cultural Centre, 2920 King Road, King City

• Friday, January 23, 2026 (10am – 4pm)
• Saturday, January 24, 2026 (10am – 2pm)

Pick Up of Artwork:

• Saturday March 28, 2026 (10am – 2pm)
• Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (10am – 4pm)

Unless otherwise arranged, artwork must be picked up within 14 days of the closing date of the show or it will be returned by mail at the artist’s expense.
