4th Art Exhibition in recognition of International Women’s Day

The King Heritage & Cultural Centre (KHCC) is pleased to announce its 4th Art Exhibition in recognition of International Women’s Day to be held from March 8 to May 3, 2025.

Theme for 2025: Resist and Persist

This exhibition theme encourages artists to consider the past, present and future of women’s rights and the struggle for equality, acceptance and empowerment. Artists may draw inspiration from current issues, personal struggles, notable women, moments in history, their own role models and more.

Call to Artists – Opens September 16, 2024

The King Heritage & Cultural Centre is inclusive of all abilities, experiences and orientations. This exhibition is open to emerging and established women artists and artists who self-identify as women.

Artists are encouraged to interpret this year’s theme through both their art and accompanying statement/story/poem. Artwork does not have to be created specifically for this show but must be a recent work (created no earlier than 2020) and relate directly to the theme.

A completed registration form, an artist statement of up to 150 words, a good quality image of your artwork and payment of $30 + HST must be received by January 5, 2025, (11:59pm) to be considered for the show.

Registration is ongoing from September 16, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Artists are encouraged to apply early as the number of available spots may be reached before the deadline.
