Call for Submissions: Clark Centre for the Arts 2027 Exhibitions
Clark Centre for the Arts welcomes application from artists of all abilities, individual artists and/or artist collectives, as well as professional and emerging artists working in a variety of media to exhibit in Gallery 191 for 2027. Artists with diverse backgrounds and those who have not exhibited previously at the gallery are encouraged to apply.

Artist Fees
In accordance with the CARFAC fee schedule for Exhibitions with Art for Sale, the eligible exhibiting artist will be paid an exhibition fee (Section 1: A.1.7) based on number of artworks.
While CARFAC fees will not apply to groups of six or more, we offer in-kind support to all exhibiting artists such as free gallery space, reception assistance, label and didactic printing and promotional opportunities through the City’s channels.

- 6 to 10 images with a corresponding list of artworks – Please note that the gallery is spread across three floors and is primarily suited to 2D work, with only a limited number of plinths available for displaying 3D pieces.

About the Gallery
Located inside Guild Park and Gardens, the Clark Centre for the Arts is a stunning cultural facility that houses specialized art studios and gallery spaces that Toronto residents and visitors can enjoy year-round. Gallery exhibitions attract a diverse audience—including visual arts enthusiasts, school and community groups, and visitors to the Guild Park & Gardens—creating opportunities to share artworks with a broader community.

Call for Applications: Clark Centre for the Arts 2027 Artists-in-Residence
The Artist Residency Program at Clark Centre for the Arts welcomes professional artists to think, experiment, work and create in an artistic lakeside yet urban environment, culminating in a one-month exhibition of the artist-in-resident’s work in Gallery 191. Clark Centre for the Arts is dedicated to engaging and supporting artists and encourages applications from members of equity-deserving communities.
Two residencies will be offered to professional artists during regular operating hours, from mid January to mid December.

Who can Apply?
The residency opportunity is open to professional artists who are comfortable working independently creating various art works, including visual arts, textile arts, digital arts, spoken word and/or literary arts. The two residency positions are for one individual each, not a collective.
What You’ll Receive
The residency offers a working environment that supports the artistic process. The artist will receive:
- The use of an artist-in-residence studio space during operating hours, with a monthly schedule approved in advance by the site;
- Exhibition space in Gallery 191 at the Clark Centre for the Arts for one month in 2027;
- Use of the first-floor lobby space for an opening reception, usually on the first or second Saturday of the exhibition month from 1 to 3pm;
- Promotion of the exhibition through established City of Toronto public relations channels; and,
- An honorarium to support the artist’s commitment and potential materials/supplies expenses accrued while creating a Gallery 191 exhibition.

About the Gallery
The gallery space features three large rooms on the main floor of a historic mansion with hardwood floors and original architectural features remaining in the gallery spaces. The gallery is filled with large windows that provide natural light throughout the day. Gallery exhibitions are viewed by visual arts enthusiasts and by those at the Cedar Ridge Creative Centre attending courses and other events, providing a great opportunity to present the works on display to a larger community.
