Call for Papers: UAAC-AAUC Conference 2025

We invite the submission of Paper proposals for the 2025 UAAC-AAUC conference by session Chairs, to be held at York University, in Toronto, Ontario, from October 16 to 18, 2025.

Participation Rules:

1. Select the session of your choice and send your paper proposal directly to the chair(s) of the session, roundtable, or workshop.
2. Proposals are invited from permanent and contractual faculty, independent scholars and artists, and graduate students (examples: PhD, MFA, MDes, etc.) who are engaged in the visual arts (studio practice, art history, visual culture, material culture, museum studies, art conservation, etc.)
3. Applicants can only present at one session. Session chairs may not make a presentation in their own session, however, they may submit a proposal to another session, roundtable, or workshop.
4. To submit: download the Proposal Submission form, complete and send to your chair, including all fields: the applicant’s name, email address, affiliation and a brief biography (150 words max.), session selected and title of paper proposed with description (250 words max.) in English or French.
5. Only members of UAAC can present papers, once they register for the conference. Non members must become members of UAAC first and then register for the in order to present a paper at the conference.

How to Submit:

1. Select your session from the Call for Papers.
2. Download the Proposal Submission form, complete and email to your chair by May 31, 2025.
