Call for Artists: Waterdown Memorial Park Public Art Project

WATERDOWN MEMORIAL PARK
PUBLIC ART PROJECT

CALL FOR ARTISTS

The City of Hamilton is seeking Artists and Artist-Led Teams to submit proposals for a permanent Public Art work(s) to be sited in Waterdown Memorial Park.

Artists will be selected by a citizen Jury through a two-stage process involving a concept and design proposal, followed by public consultation on up to 6 selected Artists detailed proposals.

Award: $50,000
Short-listed applicants completing a Stage Two submission will receive $500.

Submission Deadline: Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 3:00 PM (EST)

Artist Information Meeting:  Thursday August 15, 2019, 7 PM
Waterdown Memorial Park, 200 Hamilton St N, Waterdown, ON

The Skating Loop Amenity building is nestled between the Waterdown Memorial Park Parking Lot and the Skating Loop.

Artists are invited to view a presentation on the adjudication process and submission requirements. This is not a mandatory meeting.
