The Maker’s Hand: Call for Artists
Applications are now open for the 22nd edition of The Maker’s Hand. Presented annually by the Prince Edward County Arts Council, The Maker’s Hand is a prestigious fine craft show featuring a wide range of established and up-and-coming artisans from across Ontario and Quebec.
Returning to the County Arts Lab in the historic Armoury located on Picton’s bustling Main Street, this year’s show will take place from November 6 -8, 2026. This year’s edition will feature over 25-30 booths located in the County Arts Lab and the adjoining atrium.
Artists will have the opportunity to set up their booths on Thursday afternoon, or Friday morning, as opening hours on Friday, November 6 will be from 1 – 8pm. The show will be open on Saturday from 10am – 5pm and Sunday from 10am – 4pm, with takedown happening from 4 – 6pm on Sunday afternoon.
Applicants must self-identify as a professional artist (see Canada Council for the Arts’ definition) and present functional, conceptual, or sculptural work that exhibits originality and technical excellence. Fine craft artists working in metal, jewellery, wearable art, textiles, wood, glass, paper, ceramics, and more are invited to apply. Please note, the Maker’s Hand does not accept consumable products in the show, nor do we accept soaps & bath products, or candles.
