Vermont Studio Center is now accepting applications through October 15th. Vermont Studio Center hosts an inclusive, global community of artists and writers for 2-, 3-, and 4-week residencies. Nestled in the Green Mountains, join us in the rural village of Johnson, Vermont to deepen your creative practice and build a new community. Apply today for a residency in 2025!

Artists and writers have 24/7 access to private studios, and facilities to support their practices: a print shop and a sculpture shop for metal, wood, and ceramics. Accommodations include private rooms in shared lodging with common spaces and kitchenettes. Fresh daily meals are provided in our Red Mill Dining Hall, a central hub for gathering.

The Visiting Artists and Writers Program offers access to renowned creative professionals for individual studio critiques, writing consultations, readings, artists talks, and writing craft talks.

Vermont Studio Center provides artists and writers, at any stage of their careers, with the time and space to focus, take risks, experiment, and grow their practices, all while building a solid network of peers and mentors. All residents receive partial fellowships and 34% receive full fellowships.
