ArtsBuild Ontario Presents Free Accessibility Toolkit and Webinars

ArtsBuild Ontario has developed a Series and a Toolkit for creative spaces aimed at increasing awareness of the Design of Public Spaces Standard under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA). These resources feature innovative ideas and solutions to support creative spaces such as galleries, museums, theaters and culture hubs, in making their spaces more accessible.

Just released! Accessibility in Creative Spaces: A Toolkit for Ontario Arts Organizations

The Accessibility Toolkit for Creative Spaces in Ontario is designed to support arts organizations and creative spaces in making their facilities more accessible for all. Created by ArtsBuild Ontario in collaboration with an Accessibility Advisory Committee of arts leaders across Ontario, this toolkit provides tools, resources and important information about accessibility legislation in Ontario, including the AODA and Design of Public Spaces Standards, Ontario Building Code and Ontario Human Rights Code. The toolkit also focuses on experiential accessibility, including how arts organizations are going beyond the built environment to offer inclusive spaces.
