Come get some FREE building materials, tools, equipment, and supplies at Artist Material Fund at Evergreen Brick Works!

The Artist Material Fund is revolutionizing the way we handle waste in the local arts sector. It’s a free relocation service that connects surplus materials from the cultural industry with individuals eager to give them new life.

Rooted in the principles of a circular economy, we believe in minimizing waste and maximizing resources. Our anti-capitalist, anti-consumerist model challenges the disposability of valuable material by offering a viable alternative to fiscal precarity and ecological irresponsibility.

By redirecting usable ‘trash’ back into the hands of the public, we’re not just managing waste—we’re creating opportunities for creativity, sustainability, and community education. Join us in reshaping the future of waste management, one recycled item at a time!

We’ve got it all – scrap wood, tiles, carpet, cases, plexi, plastics, paint, household items, furniture, audio visual equipment, books, paper, crates, and bizarre exhibition remnants from past exhibitions across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Take something so you can make something!

The rules are simple:
Open to everyone.
First-come, first-served.
No limits to what you can take.
Take only what you need.
