Art Vancouver – Where Creativity Takes Center Stage

Art Vancouver Contemporary Art Fair returns April 11 – 14, 2024, for a celebration of creativity and cultural exchange. As the Vancouver Convention Centre East – Hall B undergoes its annual transformation into an epicenter of artistic expression, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a diverse showcase of talent from across the globe.

Since its inception in 2015, Art Vancouver has continuously redefined the traditional art fair experience, establishing itself as a dynamic platform for artistic innovation. The fair attracts seasoned collectors and art lovers alike with its selection of contemporary artworks spanning various styles, mediums, and cultural influences.

The programming lineup is carefully curated to offer something for everyone, from thought-provoking panel discussions and live art demonstrations.

Immerse yourself in thought-provoking dialogue at our panel discussion titled ‘Censorship in Indigenous Art: Unveiling Challenges in Public and Media Spaces’ on Saturday afternoon. Featuring insights from esteemed artists and industry leaders, this discussion is poised to deepen the audience’s understanding of art’s societal impact while sparking conversation within our community.

Get ready to unleash your creativity by joining our art classes led by professional artists running from Friday through Sunday. Attendees can also witness live painting demonstrations where artists create their masterpieces on stage, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artist’s studio while answering questions from the audience.

On Saturday night, experience the adrenaline-fueled OPUS Art Masters painting competition, where artists go head-to-head in a race against the clock to create masterpieces using mystery supplies. Feel the excitement as you witness the action unfold live and cast your vote for the most captivating piece.

Art Vancouver is Western Canada’s destination for collecting art, forging connections and creating experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with galleries, artists, and fellow art enthusiasts, creating new relationships and collaborations that extend beyond the fair.

The stellar lineup of this year’s exhibitors, from PHJ Gallery and Art in Dongsan from Korea to Lineage Arts Gallery showcasing BIPOC artists to Perve Galeria presenting Portuguese-born master João Artur da Silva, there is a wealth of talent to explore and appreciate.

Renowned artists like Paul Ygartua and prodigy artist Karissa Narukami will grace the fair with their exceptional talents, alongside the captivating works of YouRen Yan, celebrated for his profound exploration of the human experience through sculpture.

Join us for the exclusive VIP preview on Thursday, April 11 from 6 pm to 7 pm, continuing with public access until 10 pm.

April 12 to 14 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East – Hall B. Tickets range from an average of $25 to $125 and are available for purchase online.
