Art Toronto returns in person October 29 – 31 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Join fellow art lovers in browsing exhibitions by 60+ galleries exhibiting contemporary art along with notable historical works from Canadian and international galleries.
The 2021 edition of Art Toronto sees over 30% of galleries presenting paintings, sculptures, photos and installations by First Nations, Inuit and Métis artists including notable works by Meryl McMaster, Chief Beau Dick, Michael Nicol Yahgulannas, Sonny Assu, Rebecca Belmore, Gabrielle L’Hirondelle Hill, Joi T Arcand Maria Hufiled and many more.
Additional gallery highlights include Patel Brown (Toronto) with works including Rajni Perera, Nep Sidhu, Anique Jordan among others; Galerie Hugues Charbonneau (Montréal) with works by Maria Hupfield, Moridja Kitenge Banza and Manuel Mathieu; TrépanierBaer Gallery (Calgary) will present a solo exhibition of esteemed artist Vikky Alexander titled; Aperture (New York) exhibiting presenting works by artists included Sara Cwynar, and Donavon Smallwood; Galerie Raphael (Frankfurt) showcasing artists including Masters like Marc Chagall; Corkin Gallery (Toronto) presenting a mix of contemporary emerging artists including Christian Butterfield and notable historic works including photographs by Man Ray and a rare Riopelle painting; and Unit 17 (Vancouver) bringing a program of works by Sobey Award finalist Gabi Dao.
The fair extends online with programming and virtual exhibitions via the ArtLand platform. Art Toronto’s programming is its commitment to championing curatorial perspectives, allowing Canadian and International curators to explore and expand on a particular theme.
