About the Program
Our MFA Art is a two-year, full-time, practice-led program in contemporary art. Develop your practice in an environment rich in material possibilities and a context animated by diverse theoretical perspectives and historical foundation.

Our Spaces & Technology
In addition to exceptional facilities, including workshops, labs and individual studios, you’ll enjoy technical support in audiovisual, bronze and aluminum casting, ceramics, digital fabrication, drawing, experimental film, media arts, metal, painting, performance, photography and photo-based practice, plaster, printmaking, sound, video, weaving and wood fabrication.

The uLethbridge Art Gallery houses one of the country’s most significant collections of Canadian and European art. Bolstered by a variety of nationally recognized galleries and arts organizations, the program provides unique opportunities for exhibition, collaboration and dialogue within Lethbridge’s vibrant cultural community.

Scholarships and Funding
We are committed to providing you generous financial support. In addition to a range of scholarships, awards and bursaries, you’ll have access to professional teaching and research experience with our graduate teaching and research assistantships.
