The five recipients’ works were selected from over 100 submissions by emerging artists across the country, in recognition of their critical and creative approach to digital media. The five award-winning works will be featured in a group exhibition at Trinity Square Video and online, September 9-October 1, 2022.

The 2022 EDAA is also pleased to recognize Marcella Moliner and Timothy Yanick Hunter, who have each earned an honourable mention for their work and will receive a $1,000 prize.

About the EDAA

The Emerging Digital Artists Award (EDAA) is Canada’s award for critical experimentation in digital media, proudly presented by EQ Bank and Trinity Square Video. Established in 2015, the annual prize celebrates the contributions of early-career artists working exclusively in virtual space. Each year, we seek artwork submissions from across the country that push us in new directions and challenge us to see the world through a different screen.
