The first exhibition of the gallery titled FROM SAMO©… TO SAMO©… EVOLUTION OF STREET: ART & TYPE will highlight the work of New York-based artist Al Diaz. The show opens to the public on October 29th and ends on December 17th. Curated by Grace Zeppilli and Jason Halter, the exhibition features a collection of work spanning Diaz’s forty-year career, from his early-teen graffiti collaboration with Jean-Michel Basquiat to his later prolific text-based collage works.
This exhibition also includes new artworks by Toronto-based artists Javid Jah, Danilo Deluxo McCallum, Nicolas ‘Alfalfa’ Sanchez, and Kizmet, whose unique & distinct styles express the multifarious evolution of street art that is flourishing in cities all over the globe, including Toronto.
FROM SAMO©… TO SAMO©… EVOLUTION OF STREET: ART & TYPE, will open with an artist talk on Saturday, October 29th at 1:00 PM.
