- Toronto snow storm with my mom

I didn’t realize there was going to be a snow storm last weekend in Toronto. This meant I got to spend a lot of time with my mom – time which is few and far between these days since I mostly live in Boston for school. In this pic my mom is making a snow angel. She almost got stuck there, lol.

He has been my #1 artist for the past seven years, and I feel like it’s gonna stay like that for a while. I love how he sorta can’t sing, but it’s so charming and makes his music sound so sincere. Also, all his music videos are beautiful. Chamakay is my current fave song, though it changes every three months, but the Caroline Polacheck feature on this is just sooooo good. Being a fan of him is such a curse though, because who knows when he will next release an album or go on tour?!?!
- I love trains 😀

They are like huge caterpillars that you can ride. I think it’s one of the best things about living in a city, and I love not driving. If you asked me what I thought about trains, I would say that they are the best mode of transportation ever. But if you asked me on a real level, well … you better have an hour to spare to hear out why North American transit is so lacking and what it could have been. I dream of traveling to Japan to experience the best trains in the world, one day, one day…
- 3D scanning and 3D printing

I’ve been doing a bunch of 3D scanning with my phone recently. I love that I can scan anything I pass by by just taking photos for a minute or two. Right now I use a program called Metashape, and I like how it makes these perfectly imperfect scans. Here are some bananas I scanned from the Philippines. I don’t think you’re allowed to take agriculture between countries, so this is my best substitute. TBH, I could talk about this for a long while, but it gets really nerdy.
- This Pacita Abad exhibit

I thought the lighting for the show was awesome. It feels like we are underwater with the fish. Also, the beads she uses in the paintings are stunning. There was one moment when I was looking at one of the fish and it glared back at me because the eyes had some type of mirror-like buttons. Anyways, I am now a huge fan of Pacita Abad and it feels good to be Filipino!
