2023 ArtsEverywhere Festival

January 26 – 29, 2023 / Guelph, Ontario
Full program and presenter bios at festival.artseverywhere.ca

From Thursday January 26th to Sunday January 29th, don’t miss this immersive lineup of curated films, performances, conversations, poetry, and music that make up the annual ArtsEverywhere Festival.

We’re excited to present the 20th Anniversary of The Guelph Lecture—On Being at this year’s festival, featuring captivating music from Sarah Harmer, a reading from Griffin Poetry Prize winner Liz Howard, and a keynote lecture by Vancouver-based scholar Will Valley on food security’s relationship to white supremacy. Tickets are on sale now at RiverRun.ca.

Some of the international guests that will be joining us this year include Derrais Carter, who will be hosting a listening party inspired by the influential painting The Sugar Shack (1976), Simon(e) van Saarloos discussing sex, consent, and agism with Ricky Varghese, Berlin-based writer Erin Honeycutt joining a panel on the potential of Ekphrasis, and a group of international publishers exploring how bookmaking supports community.

New events to the festival in 2023 are a Golden Girls-themed Drag Brunch with performer Mikiki, the Rock/Paper/Scissors Book and Print fair, and two film screenings: choreographer Michael Spencer Phillips’ new film Megaflora, and a special screening of the documentary Ever Deadly about Tanya Tagaq, which will be accompanied by performances curated by Taqralik Partridge.

Most festival events are free and all are designed with access in mind.
