Call for Submissions: Artist Roster for Public Art Opportunities at DEXD, Toronto

Are you interested in bringing your artwork to public buildings?

DEXD is building a database of artists to support future opportunities that integrate art into the built environment. This includes public art, site-responsive work, and collaborations with architects, designers, and community partners.

We welcome artists working across all media and disciplines, at any stage of their practice—from emerging to established—including those with and without prior experience producing or installing public art. The database is intended to reflect the diversity of artistic approaches and lived experiences across the region.

While artists based in the Greater Toronto Area will be prioritized, we encourage all interested artists to participate. Selected artists may be contacted for commissions, shortlists, collaborations, or other creative opportunities as they arise. Participation in the survey does not guarantee selection, but helps ensure your practice is considered for relevant future projects.

Submission Requirements

All submissions are made through the Artist Roster Survey. For visual samples of work, the survey will ask for these to be formatted on a 8.5 x 11 PDF for submission through the Google Form directly. Uploaded files that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Submission Deadline

Accepting submissions until March 31, 2026.
