Mystery Graffiti: Resolved!
Museum of New

One morning, about twelve years ago, a graffiti appeared on the front of the Museum of New. In your replies, the general consensus was an affirming one: it may have been posted by an artist believing in the power of important art. Such art may upset the Status Quo of the art scene, or topple the proverbial ‘apple cart’. Whether anyone agrees or disagrees, it was a work of conceptual art worth re-posting.
About the Museum of New, Toronto
Our movement New New Painting was launched in Paris in 1992, with a hardcover book of the same name. We had numerous exhibitions in Europe and the USA. We opened this Museum in 1998 for the long run, as we needed to overcome the considerable aesthetic resistance from the establishments.
