Call for Submissions – Legacy of Treaty 4: A Tribute to MMIWG2S+
City of Regina

The City of Regina, in partnership with Reconciliation Regina, has released a Public Call for Detailed Design – The Legacy of Treaty 4: A Tribute to MMIWG2S+ Commemoration Project.
Indigenous artists, designers and teams are invited to submit proposals for detailed design of an Indigenous lead, commemorative site in Māmowimīwēyitamōwin Park (formerly Regent Park). The total available budget for the project is $75,000 which will include design fees, materials, fabrication & installation costs. This call supports a larger Indigenous-led landscape architecture initiative, rooted in Treaty 4 Indigenous leadership. Guided by 13 Elders since 2019 and supported by all levels of government, the project responds to multiple Calls for Justice from the National Inquiry and could become the largest MMIWG2S+ commemoration site in Canada.
Applications are open to First Nations, Métis and Inuit professional artists, designers, and teams, with preference for those connected to Treaty 4 Territory.
Deadline: September 26, 2025 at 4:00pm CST
