Call for Submissions: 2026 Exhibitions at City of Toronto Cultural Centres & Galleries

Cedar Ridge Creative Centre Gallery

2026 Call for Submissions Highlights

The City of Toronto’s Cultural Centres & Galleries are now accepting applications from individual artists, collectives, groups and organizations to exhibit their work in 2026. Artists working in a range of media are encouraged to apply.

The City offers a range of artist residencies and gallery programs to support artistic growth and skill development, while sharing their talents with local communities.

The Public Gallery Program provides artists opportunities to exhibit at five City-operated public galleries: Assembly Hall, Cedar Ridge Creative Centre, Clark Centre for the Arts, Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery and Ascent Gallery at Etobicoke Civic Centre.

Priority is given to Toronto-based artists working or living in Toronto. Artists who have exhibited at one of the galleries are not eligible to be considered for an exhibition at another gallery site in the following year.

There is no fee to apply or exhibit and the galleries take no commission on sales.

The City of Toronto’s Cultural Centres and Galleries are dedicated to engaging and supporting Toronto-based artists from equity-deserving communities. Recent program updates align with CARFAC (Canadian Artists’ Representation / Le Front des Artistes Canadiens) guidelines and are designed to increase equitable access to the City’s cultural spaces and elevate support for artists, while advancing some of the key objectives of the City’s Culture Connects: An Action Plan for Culture in Toronto.

All works submitted for consideration must conform to the City of Toronto Human Rights and Anti-Harassment/Discrimination Policy and be suitable for a general audience.
