Open Studio is located on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas of the Credit, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and Chippewa, and is home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

Since 1970, we have been a vital hub for printmaking in downtown Toronto, providing affordable studio space, educational opportunities, and dynamic exhibitions. Open Studio has been instrumental in nurturing both emerging and established artists in the Canadian printmaking community.

Open Studio is an artist-run printmaking centre that has two exhibitions spaces, print sales and facility rentals.

There are two accessible entrances to 401 Richmond. At the northwest corner of the building, a ramp leads upward from the sidewalk to an automatic entrance onto the building’s main floor that measures 34″ wide, and with a lip that measures 1″ high. The other entrance at the northeast corner is less evident but equally, if not more, accessible. The automatic door measures 34″ wide and inside has a gradual ramp downwards which leads towards the elevators.
