Call for Submissions: Perspectives, Spring 2025 at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Call to Artists: Perspectives
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
Next Submission Deadline: May 1, 2025
PortsToronto has launched Perspectives at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, a public art program that showcases local talent and captures unique visions of Toronto. The program invites local artists to share their personal interpretations of the city, offering a platform for diverse perspectives that reflect the vibrancy, diversity and spirit of Toronto.
The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport pedestrian tunnel, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, will host large scale printed artworks as part of this new program, creating an immersive experience for the passengers, employees and community members that travel through it. The art is displayed in frames and will be regularly refreshed and changed to ensure a diversity of perspectives.
The inaugural exhibit features 12 perspectives from three Toronto artists, as well as an open call to artists to submit up to four works to showcase on static display panels. Watch this video to learn more.
What is Toronto to you? Is it the waterfront, the architectural landmarks that make up our iconic skyline, the cultural hubs within our neighbourhoods, or the events that bring us all together? Show us your Toronto.
