Overview

Have you created a piece of artwork that you feel represents your heritage or culture? Does your artwork represent the spirit of multiculturalism and/or the theme of “Unity in Diversity”?

The Museum of Dufferin (MoD), in partnership with the Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation, are proud to present “Unity in Diversity”, a juried art show hosted at the MoD. A jury will select between 10-15 artists to display in an exhibition in the Museum of Dufferin’s Silo Gallery. We are excited to bring this popular art show back for a fourth year!

We invite artists in all mediums from across Ontario to share artwork that represents the theme “Unity in Diversity”.

There is no entry fee for this show.

Important Dates

Entry Deadline: Saturday, April 19, 2025, Noon
Notice of Acceptance: Friday, May 2, 2025
Artwork Drop-off: Wednesday, May 21 – Saturday, May 31, 2025
Exhibition Official Opening: Saturday, June 7, 2025 – Noon to 3pm
Exhibition Closes: Saturday, August 31, 2025

The MoD interior features historic buildings and rotating exhibitions with a focus on local history and culture.

How to Enter

• Artists must complete an application form.
• Artists may submit up to 2 artworks for consideration.
• JPG images must be sized between 300 and 500 DPI and labeled as follows: Artist’s Last Name_Artwork Title_Today’s Date.jpg
  ◦  i.e. Robinson_ Pastoral Grace_December 10 2024
• Artists must complete the entry form and submit photographs of their artwork to the Dropbox link provided.

Jurying & Awards

The artwork will be juried by a panel of local artists and board members from the Dufferin County Multicultural Foundation, with Museum of Dufferin staff acting as administrators.

Awards will be presented during the opening reception of the exhibition on Saturday, June 7, 2025:

• Best in Show Award – $350.00
• Juror’s Choice Award – $200.00
• Emerging Artist Award – $125.00
• Youth Artist Award – $75.00

The Multicultural Art Show will be featured in the Silo Gallery, a unique circular space with large, bright windows overlooking the countryside.
