Call for Artists – The Maker’s Hand 2025

Applications are now open for the 21st edition of The Maker’s Hand! Presented annually by the Prince Edward County Arts Council this prestigious fine craft show features a wide range of established and up-and-coming artists from across Ontario and Quebec.

Taking place November 7 – 9, 2025 at the County Arts Lab on Picton’s bustling Main Street, the show will feature 25 booths inside the County Arts Lab, in the adjoining Armoury Atrium, and outdoor courtyard.

Applicants must self-identify as a professional artist (see Canada Council for the Arts’ definition) and present functional, conceptual, or sculptural work that exhibits originality and technical excellence. Visual artists are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to craft artists. The Maker’s Hand does not accept consumable products in the show, nor do we accept soaps & bath products, or candles.

Further eligibility criteria and venue details are available by visiting www.themakershand.com.

County Arts is committed to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusivity. We value individuals who express and reflect our diverse stories, histories, communities, cultures and artistic practices. We encourage applications from individuals who self-identify as members of equity-seeking and underrepresented groups, including people of colour, Indigenous people, LGBTQ2S+ people, and people with disabilities.
