Pleasure Dome’s Annual Call for Submissions Is Now Live

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2025, 11:59pm EDT

Pleasure Dome is excited to announce that our annual call for submissions is now open. We invite artists working in media arts and film to submit their works for consideration in our Open Call and New Toronto Works 2025. These opportunities allow artists from all walks of life and at all stages of their practice to present new work in one of Canada’s most respected platforms for experimental, avant-garde, and thought-provoking moving-image art.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome submissions of:

  • Short, medium, and long-form films
  • Expanded media works

Additionally, artists based in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are encouraged to submit to New Toronto Works 2025, our signature annual screening celebrating emerging and established artists contributing in dynamic ways to the city’s experimental media arts landscape.

Eligibility Criteria for New Toronto Works 2025

To be considered for this program, submissions must meet the following criteria:

  1. The artist must be based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
  2. The work must have been completed within the last 12 months (after March 2024).

If you’re unsure whether your work is a good fit for Pleasure Dome, we encourage you to visit our website and review our mandate and organizational values before submitting.
