Opportunity:
CreativeHub 1352 is seeking workshop proposals for Summer Arts Mississauga, running from July 2 – 31 on weekdays and Sundays from 10:00am – 4:30pm, evening session 7:00pm – 9:00pm (days/times vary depending on the length of workshops). Selected art workshops will explore a variety of mediums, materials and themes, and will foster creative expression and experimentation with defined learning outcomes.
Successful applicants will commit to leading their workshop for a duration of 2-4 hours in length as a single session workshop or multi-session class. Workshops should be catered towards school-aged children, youth, adults and seniors. On your application, please indicate if your program is suitable for a specific age group or open to all. Potential workshops can include: painting, drawing, textile arts, mixed media, woodworking, photography, performing arts, jewelry making, dance, floral arranging, printmaking, sculpture and more. Applications are open to any of the above workshops, as well as any other suggestions from applicants.

Small Arms Inspection Building, 1352 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, Ontario.
Compensation:
In the application please indicate expected hourly instructional fees and detail out workshop material costs per participant.
Artist Eligibility:
Applications are open to individual artists and makers, artist collectives, educational organizations, groups, and not-for-profit or charitable organizations operating in Ontario and Canada.
Workshop Information:
- Workshops scheduled July 2 – 31, between 10:00am and 9:00pm
- Single session or multi-session programming
- Workshops can be geared toward beginner or intermediate skill levels
- Minimum workshop length of 2 hours, maximum workshop length of 4 hours
- Maximum capacity of 20 participants
- For multi-session workshops max number of sessions is 4
Submission Requirements:
If you are interested in participating as an instructor for Summer Arts Mississauga, please apply online.
- Artist Statement: Tell us about yourself or your organization and your artistic practice as it relates to the workshop you are proposing to CreativeHub 1352;
- Workshop Description: Please provide a brief description of your proposed workshop focusing on learning outcomes and material exploration. Include skill level, age range and indicate if it is a single session or multi-session class and how many sessions if it is a multi-session class. Provide a brief lesson plan for the organization of your session or sessions;
- Budget: Outline budget distribution, accounting for your instructor fee per hour and material fees per participant broken down into items needed for the workshop;
- Technical Description: Should include a list of all foreseeable requirements including equipment and materials necessary for your Summer Arts Mississauga workshop;
- Visual Support Material: Please include 3-5 images to supplement your proposal, specifically showing the completed workshop product. These can also include images of your proposed materials, past work, student work, etc.;
- Visual Support Material List: Please include a short list describing the Visual Support Materials.

Artists Notified of Approval: April 15, 2025
Program Dates: July 2 – 31, 2025
Workshops are scheduled in consultation with the instructor and their availability.
