Explore memory through the lens of contemporary art at Plural’s Pavilion

Curated by Anaïs Castro and located on the second floor of the fair, The Past Tense Is Always Longer examines the intricate relationship between memory and contemporary art. Through the works of 11 artists, the exhibition explores the fluid nature of memory—how it is woven, fragmented, and continuously reimagined. Upon entering the Pavilion, visitors will be welcomed in a luminous space where each artwork becomes a vessel for both personal and collective narratives.

“[…] The past tense is always longer unfolds as a weaving of narratives and materials, where each work inscribes memory into form, gesture, and gaze. Moving between what was and what remains to be reimagined, the exhibition reveals how memory is not only preserved but also continuously reshaped—tracing the sensitive imprints of histories in perpetual transformation.”
Anaïs Castro, curator of the exhibition
