Exhibition Dates: May 7 – October 26, 2025
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2025, 5pm ET
Open to all artists within Canada. Sculptures must be original works suitable for outdoor installation. Artworks may be offered for sale.
Five entries will be selected for the exhibition – May 7 to October 26, 2025 in Haliburton, Ontario. An honorarium of $300 will be paid to each participating artist. A $75.00 per diem will be provided (two days for delivery/installation/opening event (accommodation is provided) plus one day for pick up). This is a joint project of the Haliburton Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Haliburton Sculpture Forest.
What is the Downtown Haliburton Sculpture Exhibition?
DHSE is a seasonal outdoor exhibition running from early May to the end of October. Five permanent bases (granite slabs) have been installed on the main street of the Haliburton Village. Sculptures are installed in these select locations. A jury appointed by the Downtown Haliburton Sculpture Exhibition will select up to five entries for exhibition.
Open to all artists within Canada. Sculptures must be original works suitable for outdoor installation. Deadline for submissions is March 31, 2025 at 5pm.

More about the Downtown Haliburton Sculpture Exhibition:
- The village of Haliburton is centrally located in Ontario. The community’s commitment to art and culture, and its reputation to inspire and engage the public with art, draws thousands of visitors from across Canada, the United States and abroad.
- Artworks may be offered for sale. DHSE does not take a commission. All inquiries and sales are handled by the artist or their agent.
- An honorarium of $300 will be paid to each participating artist, along with a per diem for the two days involved in installation and the day for closing.
- We provide support with the installation and removal of your work.
- No entry fees.
