72nd Open Juried Exhibition
October 30 – November 28, 2024
Opening Reception: Saturday, November 2, 2 – 4pm
Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery, Toronto
This annual open-juried exhibition is presented by the Colour and Form Society, showcasing outstanding art in a broad range of styles that reflect the diverse cultural influences of the participating artists. Open to both members and non-members, this exhibition awards prizes and gives opportunities to non-member artists to make a submission for the society’s elected membership status.
The submissions were juried by Lee Munn, Maria Iva and Michelle Eissler. Lee is a painter who primarily paints landscapes in a variety of styles. He studied art at Dundas Valley School of Art (DVSA), George Brown College and Sheridan College. Lee is a member of several artist associations, and his work has been exhibited across Canada, USA, and Europe. Maria is an artist and instructor. Her work captures the interplay of light and shadow, utilizing vibrant colours to evoke emotion. She finds inspiration in the diverse landscapes and seasonal transformations of Ontario’s provincial parks. Michelle is an artist focusing on exploring semi-abstracted and fragmented reality in oil painting. She studied at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College and has exhibited at McMichael Art Gallery, Visual Arts Mississauga and Peel Gallery, among others.
