Shannon Taylor-Jones: in and as an ecosystem

Immersed into the active encounters of multi-species world-making, this work explores the creative processes of living, being, and dying. Looking into the processes of plants, fungi, and other organic matter as non-linear practices of growth and decay, this environment exists as a manifestation of this animated network of beings and ways of being. Submerged into the underworld of plant and fungal embodiment, the body is placed in and as an ecosystem, a biome of relationships that are constantly both becoming and unbecoming. This exhibition exists as an invitation to immerse oneself into the messy world of symbiosis, interdependency, and collaboration.
