Queship is a new musical group established in late 2022 in Hamilton ON by 3 mature guys driven by their love of art, and song.

The band’s current members include Alan Flint who plays guitar and sings lead vocals. Flint is also the principal writer of Queship’s material.

On bass is Jason Colavecchia, no stranger to the Hamilton music scene with years of professional experience exercised through a number of musical groups. The same can be said for drummer Dave Carrillo, whose musical experience spans across different countries and musical genres.

The April 8th, 2023 Mills Hardware show is the inaugural public performance for the Queship.

So new to the music scene Queship have yet to establish a social media presence. They have no YouTube channel, no Instagram, Spotify, Bandcamp, Twitter or any other platform in the meta-verse.

Taking advantage of their “unknown” status, Queship has decided to play up their obscurity as a positive unfolding of endless possibilities. Exclusivity could be a positive factor in showbiz, could it not?

If popularity is not currently in their favour then what is Queship all about? Perhaps self-discovery realized through a musical adventure is what drives them.

All things considered, it is safe to say Queship’s original song material does possess an alternative folk rock vibe, mixed with measures of RnB, funk, progressive and perhaps some country for extra flavor.

Or, maybe their unique sound simply draws most from the singer-songwriter tradition.
