Nuit Blanche Toronto 2020 – Opportunities to Participate
Calling all artists! Interested in participating in Nuit Blanche Toronto and animating Toronto streets?
There are three ways you can participate, and project proposals are now being accepted!
The Open Call Program is open to professional artists and collectives. Projects are selected by Nuit Blanche’s Artistic Director from submissions through an Open Call application, and the projects are funded and produced by the City of Toronto. Proposals should respond to the curatorial theme of the event and be in one of the key neighbourhoods.
Get more information about Open Call Program eligibility, guidelines and how to apply. Deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, December 16, 2019.
Nuit Blanche Independent Projects are self-produced projects sited in neighbourhoods all over Toronto, in traditional and non-traditional spaces including public realm, parks, galleries, storefronts, office towers, streets and sidewalks. Applicants from any artistic discipline are eligible, but proposals should have a strong visual component and be rooted in contemporary art practice.
See Nuit Blanche Independent Projects details and application guidelines. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Animating Toronto Streets is a grants program offered in partnership by Toronto Arts Council and the City of Toronto to support art projects that take place in the public right of way (roads, laneways and sidewalks). As part of this program, grants of up to $20,000 are available to support projects for Nuit Blanche Toronto 2020, and up to $50,000 to support projects for Year of Public Art 2021.
See Animating Toronto Streets details and program guidelines. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
