The Varley Art Gallery of Markham collaborates with York Universityβs Department of Visual Art and Art History to present an annual exhibition of works by MFA and PhD students. This group show allows students to exhibit in a professional setting, to broaden their exposure within the York Region community and to engage with visitors of all ages.
NEXT | WAVE presents a future-oriented outlook expressed by a range of contemporary artistic practices. The wave metaphor enfolds individual works into a continuum of multiple trajectories, both in the physical and digital realms. The exhibition creates an event and a βspaceβ composed of diverse, yet intertwining expressions.
