FROM THE SEA / South Gallery

Inspired by unique shells formed in the Mediterranean marine ecosystem, the paperwork and paintings in FROM THE SEA explore the possibilities of interpreting each of the mini cosmos. Sketchbook drawings included in exploratory collages started the process. Throughout, the commonality and connection between here and the earthly realm is revealed.

FROM THE PAST / North Gallery

This exhibition presents Nancy Newton’s past approaches to the landscape prior to a ten year exploration of musical sounds in R. Murray Schafer’s Dream-e-scape. Works on paper and acrylic paintings are included.
