InterAccess Call for Board of Directors Members
Call for Board of Directors Members
Deadline: September 7, 2019
InterAccess is a registered charity with a mandate to support art forms that integrate technology, including electronic, interactive, digital, and new media practices. InterAccess is currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors.
Over the past few years InterAccess has undergone many exciting developments, including a move to a new venue and the acquisition of Vector Festival (Toronto’s only dedicated media arts festival, entering its eighth year in 2020).
We welcome candidates who are interested in joining the Board and supporting the next phase of InterAccess’s evolution, including contributing to the development of our next strategic plan. We are seeking individuals who are interested in providing visionary leadership and advisory support, and welcome applicants with expertise in media arts, and/or backgrounds in development, fundraising, accounting, and law.
Board members are responsible for ensuring the overall health of the organization, while providing leadership and vision to foster its strength, stability, and evolution.
Statement On Equity
Recognizing the lack of diversity and equity in art and technology spaces, InterAccess takes an intersectional approach towards inclusive representation. We promote initiatives to reduce financial barriers to access, collaborate with arts and community organizations that support equity-seeking groups, and work to increase representation in all levels of leadership and participation within the InterAccess community.
InterAccess welcomes and encourages people from marginalized communities and intersecting identities to apply. This includes Black people, racialized/people of colour, women, LGBTQ-identified persons, non-binary and non-conforming people, members of ethnic minorities, immigrants, and persons with disabilities.

Accessibility Information
We regret that at this time InterAccess does not have barrier-free access; we are currently working to improve the accessibility of all facilities.
There are five steps up to the main entrance, which has double doors. The steps do not have handrails. Once inside all facilities are on the same level. There is a single-user washroom inside the unit.
