For the last 29 years, the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie has happily welcomed the community through its doors for its annual Art Auction evening in support of regional artists and MacLaren programs for children and youth. This year the Gallery is pleased to host its first-ever virtual Art Auction, featuring a curated selection of artworks and a wealth of “Great Finds” generously donated by local retailers. Highlights include:
- A two-week exhibition of artwork in a range of styles by artists from our region to view in-person or online
- Five days to bid virtually from anywhere, anytime with FREE ADMISSION using the Givergy app
All of the items up for bid will be available to preview on the Art Auction Portal beginning Monday, November 16. Additionally, an exhibition of Art Auction highlights will be on display at the Gallery from November 16 to 27, offering guests a chance to confirm their favourites and bid with confidence.
Join us on November 27 at 7 pm for the Closing Night Virtual Event, featuring conversations with artists and the community, and a special live performance by the Blake Street Band.

From Toronto: From highway 400 north, 90 km north of Toronto, take the Dunlop Street East exit to Mulcaster Street and turn left. The MacLaren is one block north on the right hand at the intersection of Collier Street and Mulcaster Street.
