Due to the current unfolding events surrounding COVID-19, we are aware of how many art spaces have closed their doors in order to practice social distancing, and how our community’s events have been cancelled or postponed to mitigate harm and spread of the virus.
As the situation evolves, we have created this resource as a space for you to stay informed on what events have been postponed to later dates and which galleries and spaces have been closed until further notice.

Capture Photography Festival
Cancelling or postponing Capture-produced live events and are creating digital content to increase accessibility for our Capture audience.
To support the effort to contain the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Calgary, Esker Foundation will be temporarily closed to the public starting Saturday 14 March, all programs in March and early April are cancelled.
The closure takes effect Tuesday, March 17 and includes all events and programs at the museum. We will reopen and resume public events as soon as it is safe to do so.
No open gallery hours for the time being.
Centre culturel franco-manitobain

Plug In Institute of Contemporary Arts
Gallery and office closed to the public until further notice.

Video Pool Media Arts Centre
Closed including Poolside Gallery and our Venue, The Output

Arsenal Contemporary Art Toronto
Temporarily closed to the public as of March 15.
Administrative activities continue internally and clients can come by appointment only.
Art Gallery of Ontario
The Art Gallery of Ontario will close temporarily for three weeks effective 9 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 and will remain closed through Sunday, April 5.
Charles Street Video
As part of the wider response to curtailing an onset of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus, CSV and the entire TMAC facility will close as of Monday, March 16. We anticipate re-opening on Monday, April 6.
Contemporary Textile Studio Co-op
All programming, workshops and classes are cancelled for the foreseeable future.
Open by appointment only.
Our current exhibition Gina Rorai Where One Finishes the Other Begins is on view to April 19.
All programs, classes, exhibitions and our spring fundraiser, Gala at the Gallery have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery
Closed to the public until Monday 6 April, or until further notice
Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto
MOCA Toronto is temporarily closed effective Saturday, March 14.
Toronto Media Arts Centre
As part of the wider response to curtailing an onset of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus, the entire TMAC facility will close as of Monday, March 16. We anticipate re-opening on Monday, April 6.
The Visual Arts Centre of Clarington
Closed until April 5.
The closure will impact general access to our galleries as well as all programming including camps, workshops, open studios, meetings and artist talks.
As of March 16, Vtape is closed due to concerns over the spread of COVID 19 in Ontario and worldwide. We are working from home as a pro-active measure and hope to return to the office in 2-3 weeks.
The Woodstock Art Gallery
Closed until April 6. All programs and events, including March Break camps and drop-ins cancelled.
The Programming Launch, scheduled for March 26, 2020 at The Commons at 401 Richmond St. West is cancelled.
LIVE events and PARTIES will be postponed indefinitely.
OFF SCREEN presentations will proceed as planned, at the discretion of our gallery and curatorial partners.
Due to growing concern regarding COVID-19, and based on the caution being advised by Health Authorities, we have decided to cancel the upcoming opening reception scheduled on March 20. The curatorial walkthrough scheduled for March 21 will be postponed until further notice.
