Application Deadline: June 30, 2023
Location: Vancouver/Remote
Term: 10 months

Contract Value: $20k
Chapel Sound Art Foundation (CSAF) is looking for someone experienced in working with artists, administratively skilled, and excited about organizational and community capacity-building to guide the organization into the next stage of its evolution.
CSAF was incorporated in 2016, as a continuation of the grassroots, emerging multidisciplinary artist collective Chapel Sound, which has been organizing events, curating shows, hosting workshops and panel discussions on cultural issues in Vancouver since 2012. The collective was founded to support ESL immigrants, racialized folks, MAD artists, artists living with disabilities/chronic illnesses and anyone who dabbled in multiple mediums (street dancers, DJs, photographers, designers, visual artists, filmmakers, poets, etc) that felt they needed to carve a small corner in Vancouver that would accept their social gesture.
CSAF’s mandate is to push creative expression forward without artistic boundaries or prejudice. By bringing people together through events, shows, workshops, and collaborative projects, CSAF creates platforms for emerging artists to experiment in the field of multidisciplinary electronic art and music regardless of their race, class, gender or orientation. As an umbrella organization, CSAF facilitates educational opportunities for artists, engages in advocacy for cultural producers, and at times administers funding and microgrants to local grassroots initiatives.
