Permanent Public Art at Carmen Corbasson Community Centre

DEADLINE: Sunday, September 11, 2022, by 11:59 p.m. EDT.

The City of Mississauga’s Public Art Program invites professional artists and artist-led teams to submit expressions of interest to create permanent public artwork(s) for the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre (1399 Cawthra Road, Mississauga, ON).

The City is seeking to commission art that helps to create an intergenerational gathering place and animate the area connecting the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre with the Mississauga Seniors Centre, which is located in the same plaza. Artists with experience creating inclusive and accessible public art are strongly encouraged to apply.

Fabrication and installation of the artwork is expected to be completed by Fall 2024.

Submissions to this call for expressions of interest are due Sunday, September 11, 2022 by 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Total budget for this project is $100,000.00 CAD + HST.

This is a two-stage selection process. Artists selected to submit proposals in Stage 2 shall receive a proposal fee of $1,000.00 CAD + HST.
