Call for Artists: Long Exposure Festival

We are happy to announce the Long Exposure Festival, an outdoor light festival taking place tentatively July 13, 2019 in Don Mills Park with the help of Toronto Arts Council! We are looking for artists and collaborators to fill the park with all kinds of glowing, blinking, or interactive art!

This festival showcasing interactive art, installation, and performance within a family friendly setting. Submissions must have a lighting element and be able to work in various weather conditions. Apart from that, let your imagination run wild!

There is some funding and honorariums available for collaborators, performers, and artists. You may propose an existing work. We have a limited number of funding opportunities (Up to 400$) for a new piece of art.

  • Wearable technology (We can pair you with a performer)
  • Installation art
  • LED based sculpture
  • Glowing or black light work
  • Long exposure photography
  • Interactive art
  • Neon
