CONTACT 2019 presents more than 250 exhibitions and programs throughout greater Toronto during the month of May, by artists from across Canada and around the world. This year’s Festival places the spotlight on Carrie Mae Weems and includes a special focus on women working in lens-based media.

The Festival’s Core Exhibitions showcase outstanding works at leadings arts venues and public spaces, including major museums and art centres, billboards, transit stations, building atriums and façades. Comprising collaborations, commissions and site-specific public art installations, these presentations frame the cultural, social, and political events of our times. The Featured and Open Call Exhibitions present a range of works by local and international artists at leading galleries and alternative spaces across the city.
