Become a Friend of BAND Gallery!
Black Artists’ Networks in Dialogue (BAND) Gallery is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting, documenting and showcasing the artistic and cultural contributions of Black artists and cultural workers. BAND is reimagining what an arts institution can be, acting as a connector, a catalyst for dialogue, and a trusted guide in the creative growth of emerging artists.
BAND’s current renovations to their space at 19 Brock Avenue will make the building accessible, multifunctional and aim to establish the legacy of BAND Gallery as a home for Black art in Toronto.
BAND is poised to offer an exciting range of new experiences in this newly renovated building and is looking to expand its network of support in preparation for the grand reopening of their permanent home in Parkdale.
This past month has honoured legacies of perseverance and innovation, celebrating the cultural contributions of Black people across Canada. Black History Month is not only a time to remember, but also to look ahead and champion Black Futures. As the month draws to a close, BAND encourages you to invest in Black Futures and continue to support Black arts organizations year-round, recognizing them as key architects of social change and creative expression.
Your engagement truly makes a difference!
Consider becoming a Friend of BAND for $20 a month to support Black artists and become part of a growing, flourishing creative community.
