1. Manpuku

I eat here every day – like literally every day. Not only is the food amazing and affordable, but the owners are super duper friendly and I consider them my friends. It’s the spot and I highly recommend it.

2. Fountain pens

I was recently gifted a Lamy pen and it is one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. It changed the way I look at any pen, and how I write now has changed too. I also enjoy doodling in my notepad more because of it.

3. New Yorker cartoons

Whether it's when I wake up in the morning, need a quick laugh wherever, or am killing time because I’m not focused on doing work, New Yorker cartoons fill that space for me. The best ones for me are those I can relate to.

4. Podcasts

Without podcasts my commute anywhere would be boring. Right now I’m listening to The Daily, but Serial, S-Town, and This American Life are my favourites. Depending on my mood though, I’m always searching for other podcasts to relate to that day.

5. Rinko Kawauchi

She was one of the first photographers I discovered outside of the type of photography I went to school for (photojournalism specifically) and there was something dreamy about her work that got me hooked on it. She’s able to make simple moments in life look so beautiful and dreamlike. Illuminance was one of the first photo books I bought from Rinko and I regret giving it away.
