Innovative Printmaking: Contemporary Printmaking Using Unusual Techniques, Scale and Subjects
Sunday, October 21st, 2PM

Moderator: Patt Durr
Panelists: Katrin Smith, Joyce Westrop, and Russell Yuristy

Printmaking in recent years has greatly broadened its technical explorations. Artists are exploring new and original techniques, and innovations in presentation. With that in mind Pat Durr curated a printmaking show at EBA this past summer. Artists produced varied editions, mixed media prints, large unique single images, with or without a press, as well as new takes on traditional methods. Panelists will discuss their artistic practices in relation to these innovations.

Patt Durr and EBA would like to gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the City of Ottawa.

The Enriched Bread Artists (EBA) is Ottawa's largest non-profit artist-run cooperative. Housed in its historic Gladstone Avenue location, the former Standard Bread Company building, EBA has brought contemporary art activity to a local, national, and international audience throughout its 26 years.

With 22 active artists occupying our two floors, critical research and artistic exploration develops in each studio. Our annual event offers an opportunity for the community to engage directly with our members to discuss their art practice, to take part in presentations, or to simply enjoy the creative environment of the EBA and its 1920’s era building.

EBA has a longstanding history of dedication to the visual arts of which it would not be possible without the resiliency of its artists from over the years, and the continued support from the people of Ottawa. We invite everyone to join us and to be inspired with us during or 26th Annual Open Studio.
