The upscale sophistication of the new Toronto Marriott Markham sets the stage for our interactive fundraising evening, immersing you in contemporary art from the moment you enter the Great Room! The evening features a cocktail reception, exquisite three course meal, live performance by The Doubts, Toronto’s best Top 40 Cover Band, Live and Silent auctions and more!

The Live Auction will feature art work by emerging and established contemporary artists and unique lifestyle packages. Selections from the silent auction include artwork, major Toronto sporting event tickets, theatre tickets, and wine tastings.

Limited tickets available. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Funds raised benefit the Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham (Registered Charity 8918373RR0001) to help support the Varley Art Gallery of Markham’s exhibitions, art acquisitions and education programs, of vital importance in fostering creativity, art appreciation and dialogue in a diverse, rapidly growing community.

The gala is supported by committed volunteers, sponsors, donors and community ambassadors who passionately believe in the benefits of making art more accessible to the community through high-quality exhibitions and educational programs. Last year, the gala raised $160,000 and with your generous support, we endeavour to surpass this goal.

Rouge. One of our national colours, in one of our official national languages. Renowned artists Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven were dedicated to capturing the majestic Canadian landscape and the brilliant colours of autumn for all to enjoy.

Frederick Horsman Varley was one of the founding members of the Group of Seven and lived on Main Street in Unionville from 1957-1969. The Varley Art Gallery is located at the corner of Main Street Unionville and Carlton Road, overlooking Toogood Pond, which feeds into the Rouge River.
