FREE ADMISSION, EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
The Cambridge Galleries printmaking studio opened in 2005 within the University of Waterloo School of Architecture on the banks on the Grand River in downtown Cambridge. The Cambridge Galleries' PRINTMAKING FAIR + SALE is a one-day event featuring printmaking demonstrations by The Riverside Print Group and an exhibition of original works by Ontario artists, held at the Design at Riverside gallery and printmaking studio. Artists display original fine art prints (intaglio, relief, planographic) framed and unframed, for sale at all price points. Visitors are invited to tour the gallery and printmaking studio and participate in the hands-on drypoint etching workshops throughout the day facilitated by The Print Studio, Hamilton.
Plan a day in Cambridge and visit the PRINTMAKING FAIR + SALE at Design at Riverside gallery, afterward stroll across the street to Queen's Square Gallery to experience a new exhibition curated by Iga Janik: Instruments for Free Space an audio and visual installation by [The User] & Xiaojing Yan. Then head north following the Grand River for a quick 5 minute walk to Cambridge City Hall to take in THE CAMBRIDGE ARTS FESTIVAL for great music, art and more. To the west don't miss RIVERFEST, at Riverbluffs Park along the bank of the west side of the Grand River where Cambridge Libraries and Galleries provide a range of children's activities including a giant mural for everyone in the family to paint! All happening on the same day these four events are free and family friendly!
